Our Swing for a Good Thing Charity Golf Tournament... the results.
We raised more than 200,000 THB at our 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
Over forty golfers participated in 18 holes of Texas scramble golf at the Ubolratana Dam Golf club in Khon Kaen, raising funds for the Pediatric Oncology department at the Khon Kaen hospital.
Our Rotary Club hosted it’s Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Ubolratana Dam golf course, on Sunday, February 23. Approximately 200,000 THB was raised to support over 700 children who are treated for cancer at the Khon Kaen Hospital every year.
With the funds raised we will provide much needed equipment at the hospital so the children can experience improved treatment and conditions during their stay at the hospital.
The opportunities we offer children shapes the future.
Phenomenal generosity! These are the two words that come to mind after our exceedingly successful tournament. We can never thank enough our players, family and friends who have supported this endeavor and who consistently join us every time to golf, eat, laugh and of course, raise money. We hope that the experience for all those who attended last Sunday was as profound as ours.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped put it together and especially John B and Dean K. We couldn’t have achieved this outcome without all of you.
And last but not least a huge thank you goes out to the sponsors and donors who helped make this charity golf tournament an exciting and successful fundraising event.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
Registration started from 8:30 AM onwards: each player received a special designed golf shirt. The tee off started at 10:00 AM. First players handed over their scorecards around 2:30 PM and the last team finished around 4:00 PM.
The evening event at the Vacca Restaurant, started at 5:00 PM. Some of the players brought their family members to join. At the end of the evening we had the awards ceremony.
